I picked up a "Pinkalicious" book at a consignment sale...because it had a cupcake on it and it looked cute! Once I brought it home, Stella loved it and we read it over and over, so I went and bought the newest one, Pinkalicious and the Pink Drink. After reading it several times, I thought we would act out the story and have a little science experiment.
In the book, Pinkalicious makes lemonade, but wants it pink! After trying everything in the fridge that was pink, that normally wouldn't go in lemonade, her Mom gives her some strawberries to achieve her goal.
Miss Pinkalicious with her materials...ready to go!

make it hard: discuss when the pitcher is full...how many quarts make a gallon? how many cups will it take to fill our pitcher?
change it up: your boy doesn't like pink? use blue or green? make it a seasonal thing- make some red or blue for fourth of july :)
Very cool! I love the idea of acting out a book. And of course learning in the process. :)
